  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 20 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Slowly add hot water and mix until combined. The batter will be thin.
  5. Fold in half of the crushed Oreo cookies.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cakes cool completely.
  8. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  9. Spread whipped cream over one cake layer, sprinkle with remaining crushed Oreos, and top with the second layer.
  10. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
