Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring to a boil without stirring until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts.
  5. Pour onto a greased baking sheet and spread evenly.
  6. Once cool, break into pieces and coat with chocolate.
