Description

A hearty dish featuring spicy sausages served with creamy mashed potatoes and a rich onion sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 spicy sausages
  • 500g potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 50g butter
  • 100ml milk
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 200ml beef stock
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain and mash with butter and milk.
  2. Fry the sausages in a pan until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, cook the onions until soft and caramelized.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the onions, stir, then gradually add beef stock to make a smooth sauce.
  5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve the sausages on top of mashed potatoes, drizzled with the onion sauce.

Notes

  • Use high-quality sausages for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more or less stock.
  • For extra creaminess, add a splash of cream to the mashed potatoes.
