Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Remove giblets from the chicken cavity.
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  4. Place lemon halves and rosemary in the cavity.
  5. Pour chicken broth into the crockpot.
  6. Place the chicken in the crockpot, breast side up.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  8. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F.
  9. Remove the chicken and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
