Description

A classic Western omelette filled with bell peppers, onions, and ham, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced ham
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  3. Add the diced bell pepper and onion to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the diced ham and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet, ensuring it covers the vegetables and ham evenly.
  6. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to set.
  7. Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the omelette, allowing uncooked egg to flow underneath.
  8. Once the top is mostly set, sprinkle cheese on one half of the omelette, if using.
  9. Fold the omelette in half over the cheese and cook for another minute until the cheese melts.
  10. Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
