- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until smooth.
- Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Cool completely before frosting.
- Beat butter for frosting until creamy, then add powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla.
- Pipe or spread frosting on cooled cupcakes.
Notes
- Use room-temperature ingredients for even mixing.
- Do not overmix batter to avoid dense cupcakes.
- For colored frosting, add food gel after mixing.
