Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 9-inch cake pans.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the mixture. Stir in vanilla.
- Divide batter evenly between pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool cakes completely before frosting.
- For buttercream, beat butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar.
- Mix in vanilla and cream until fluffy.
- Frost cooled cake layers.
