Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter over it.
  7. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and slice it into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
  11. While baking, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk to make icing.
  12. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, add more sugar to the icing.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
