- 14 oz extra-firm tofu (pressed and drained)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp optional: chili powder or paprika (for added spice)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and optional chili powder or paprika.
- Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and gently toss to coat each piece evenly.
- Sprinkle the cornstarch over the tofu and toss again until well coated.
- Place the tofu cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
- Cook the tofu for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the tofu from the air fryer and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the tofu in the soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes before coating with cornstarch.
- Serve crispy tofu over rice, in salads, or as a snack with your favorite dipping sauce.
