- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1 fresh chili, sliced (optional)
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 1 head butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and shallot, cook until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Stir in fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
- Add fresh chili if using, then stir in Thai basil leaves until wilted.
- Remove from heat. Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves and serve warm.
