Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 fresh chili, sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 1 head butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and shallot, cook until fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Stir in fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
  4. Add fresh chili if using, then stir in Thai basil leaves until wilted.
  5. Remove from heat. Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves and serve warm.
