- 2 lbs pork ribs
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Rub the spice mix evenly over the ribs.
- Place ribs on a baking tray, cover with foil, and bake for 2.5 hours.
- Remove foil, brush with BBQ sauce, and bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
- Boil sweet potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk.
- Combine cabbage, carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, celery seed, salt, and pepper for the coleslaw.
- Serve ribs with mashed sweet potatoes and coleslaw.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, marinate the ribs overnight.
- Adjust BBQ sauce quantity to taste.
- Use a food processor for smoother mashed sweet potatoes.
