Description

Tender oven-baked ribs that are fall-off-the-bone tender. Perfect for a hearty meal with minimal effort.


Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork ribs (about 34 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  3. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and chili powder in a bowl.
  4. Rub the spice mix evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  6. Combine apple cider vinegar and water, then pour into the bottom of the pan.
  7. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 3 hours.
  8. Remove foil, brush ribs with barbecue sauce, and bake uncovered for another 30 minutes.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, marinate ribs in the rub overnight.
  • Adjust spice levels to your preference.
  • Use your favorite barbecue sauce for best results.
