A rich and creamy butter chicken dish with tender pieces of chicken in a flavorful tomato sauce.
Ingredients

- 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, garam masala, chili powder, and salt for at least 1 hour.
- Heat butter and oil in a pan. Add onions and sauté until golden.
- Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
- Add marinated chicken and cook until tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, marinate chicken overnight.
- Adjust chili powder for desired spiciness.
- Use fresh cream for best results.
