Description

A tender beef brisket slow-cooked in a rich balsamic onion sauce for deep flavor.


Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef brisket
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Season the brisket with salt and pepper, then sear on all sides until browned.
  3. Remove the brisket and set aside.
  4. Add onions and garlic to the pot, cooking until softened.
  5. Pour in balsamic vinegar and beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pot.
  6. Return the brisket to the pot, add thyme, and cover.
  7. Simmer on low heat for 3-4 hours until tender.
  8. Slice and serve with the onion sauce.
