A tender beef brisket slow-cooked in a rich balsamic onion sauce for deep flavor.
Ingredients

- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 cups beef broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Season the brisket with salt and pepper, then sear on all sides until browned.
- Remove the brisket and set aside.
- Add onions and garlic to the pot, cooking until softened.
- Pour in balsamic vinegar and beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pot.
- Return the brisket to the pot, add thyme, and cover.
- Simmer on low heat for 3-4 hours until tender.
- Slice and serve with the onion sauce.
Notes
- For best results, let the brisket rest before slicing.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
