Ingredients

  • 200g Emmental cheese
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp kirsch (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Nutmeg (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
  2. Heat the wine and lemon juice in the pot until simmering.
  3. Gradually add the cheese, stirring constantly until melted.
  4. Mix cornstarch with kirsch and stir into the cheese mixture.
  5. Season with pepper and nutmeg.
  6. Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
