  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water (for cornstarch)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and rice vinegar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water until smooth.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the saucepan.
  4. Once the mixture boils, stir in the cornstarch mixture.
  5. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  7. Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge.
