A simple and tasty sweet chili sauce recipe for dipping or cooking.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water (for cornstarch)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and rice vinegar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water until smooth.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the saucepan.
- Once the mixture boils, stir in the cornstarch mixture.
- Cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer red pepper flakes.
- This sauce can be used as a marinade or dipping sauce.
- Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
