This easy sushi bake recipe combines the flavors of sushi into a delicious, baked dish that’s perfect for a crowd.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 1 lb imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • Soy sauce for serving
  • Pickled ginger for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce until well combined.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, spread it evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Spread the mayonnaise mixture over the rice, followed by the shredded imitation crab meat and chopped green onions.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  8. Serve warm with nori strips, soy sauce, and pickled ginger.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other toppings such as avocado or cucumber for added freshness.
  • You can substitute imitation crab with cooked shrimp or real crab meat if desired.
