  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Mix melted butter and brown sugar in the pan. Spread evenly.
  3. Arrange strawberry slices over the sugar mixture.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Beat softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  7. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, mixing until smooth.
  8. Pour batter over strawberries. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
