Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp black peppercorns
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 head cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 4 large carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered

Instructions

  1. Rinse the corned beef under cold water.
  2. Place the beef in a large pot and add mustard seeds, peppercorns, beef broth, and water.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2.5 hours.
  4. Add potatoes, carrots, and cabbage to the pot.
  5. Cook for an additional 30-45 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  6. Remove beef and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve with vegetables and broth.
