- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 package of ladyfinger cookies
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine strawberries, lemon juice, and half the sugar. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, whip cream with remaining sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in lemon zest gently into whipped cream.
- Layer ladyfinger cookies at the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread a layer of strawberries over the cookies.
- Add a layer of whipped cream on top.
- Repeat the layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with whipped cream on top.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
- Chill the dessert overnight for improved taste.
- Can substitute strawberries with any seasonal fruit.
