Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add cayenne pepper and black pepper. Stir until the gravy thickens.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with rice or mashed potatoes.
