- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
- Add cayenne pepper and black pepper. Stir until the gravy thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot with rice or mashed potatoes.
