- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 lb (450g) frozen fries
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy.
- In a bowl, mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice to make the sauce.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side.
- Pour the sauce over the shrimp and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. If needed, mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and stir in to thicken further.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve shrimp over crispy fries and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, toss fries in 1 tbsp oil before baking.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to control spiciness.
- Fresh garlic provides the best flavor, but 1 tsp garlic powder can substitute in a pinch.
