Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 lb (450g) frozen fries
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice to make the sauce.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. If needed, mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and stir in to thicken further.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve shrimp over crispy fries and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, toss fries in 1 tbsp oil before baking.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to control spiciness.
  • Fresh garlic provides the best flavor, but 1 tsp garlic powder can substitute in a pinch.
