Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
  2. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the beef. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper to the pan. Cook for another 3 minutes until vegetables soften.
  4. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Serve the spicy beef over cooked rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust gochujang amount for preferred spice level.
  • Use any vegetables you like, such as carrots or mushrooms.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
