Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sourdough starter, milk, and sugar.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  5. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  6. Let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
  7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  8. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  9. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over butter.
  10. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  11. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  12. Let them rise for 30 minutes.
  13. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.

  • Adjust cinnamon to taste.
