Description
Delicious sourdough starter cinnamon rolls with a sweet cinnamon filling.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix sourdough starter, milk, and sugar.
- Add melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over butter.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Let them rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
Notes
- Use active sourdough starter for best results.
- Adjust cinnamon to taste.
- Can add nuts or raisins for extra flavor.
