A delicious sourdough french toast casserole perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients

- 6 cups sourdough bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Place bread cubes in the dish.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
- Pour mixture over bread.
- Press bread down to soak.
- Drizzle melted butter on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes until golden.
- Serve warm with maple syrup.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- Let sit for 10 minutes before baking.
- Add nuts or fruit if desired.
