Homemade sourdough English muffins with a crispy exterior and soft interior.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- cornmeal for dusting
Instructions
- Mix sourdough starter and warm water in a bowl.
- Add flour, salt, sugar, and baking soda. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4-6 hours.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out to 1-inch thickness.
- Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
- Dust with cornmeal and let them rest for 30 minutes.
- Cook on a griddle over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side.

- Store muffins in an airtight container.
- Can be frozen for later use.
