Delicious cinnamon rolls made with sourdough discard.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Add sourdough discard, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to create icing.
- Drizzle icing over warm rolls.
Notes
- Use active sourdough discard for best results.
- Adjust cinnamon and sugar to taste.
- These rolls can be frozen before baking.
