Description
Delicious cinnamon rolls made with sourdough discard.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sourdough discard
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix sourdough discard, milk, melted butter, and egg.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
- On a floured surface, roll out dough into a rectangle.
- Spread with softened butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Add raisins if desired.
- Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm for best taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be frozen for later use.
