Ingredients

  • 2 cups sourdough discard
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sourdough discard, milk, melted butter, and egg.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread with softened butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Add raisins if desired.
  8. Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
