- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the sourdough starter and butter until smooth.
- Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a chewier texture, refrigerate the dough for at least an hour before baking.
- You can substitute chocolate chips with nuts or dried fruits.
