Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sourdough starter, sugar, milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover and let it rise for 4-6 hours or overnight.
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread butter.
  5. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the butter.
  6. Add raisins if desired.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into equal pieces.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  9. Cover and let them rise for another 1-2 hours.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
