A simple sourdough bread recipe for beginners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g bread flour
- 350ml water
- 100g sourdough starter
- 10g salt
Instructions
- Mix flour and water in a bowl. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Add sourdough starter and salt. Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
- Let the dough rise for 4 hours, folding it every hour.
- Shape the dough and place it in a proofing basket. Let it rise for 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
- Transfer the dough to a baking sheet and score the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then reduce heat to 200°C (400°F) and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- Use a kitchen scale for accurate measurements.
- Adjust water based on humidity.
- Store bread in a paper bag to keep the crust crispy.
