Ingredients

- 1 cup mashed bananas (about 2–3 ripe bananas)
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
- Add eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas; mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Mix the topping sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use overripe bananas for best flavor.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- This bread freezes well; wrap it tightly for longer storage.
