Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, sear the roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Place the roast in the slow cooker.
  4. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, carrots, potatoes, thyme, and bay leaves.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  6. Remove the roast and let it rest before slicing.
