A hearty and easy-to-make dish combining the flavors of Sloppy Joes with crispy potatoes.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced potatoes and cook until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes.
- Remove potatoes from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook ground beef until browned.
- Add onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return potatoes to the skillet and mix well.
- Cook for another 5 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- Add hot sauce for extra spice.
- Top with shredded cheese if desired.
