Description

A classic Southern shrimp boil, filled with juicy shrimp, tender potatoes, sweet corn, and flavorful spices.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds large shrimp, deveined and shells removed
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 ears of corn, cut into halves
  • 1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for boiling

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and add the Old Bay seasoning, lemon halves, garlic, and onion. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the baby potatoes to the pot and cook for about 10-12 minutes or until they are tender.
  3. Add the corn and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Finally, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Drain the pot and let the shrimp and vegetables cool slightly.
  6. Serve the shrimp boil on a large platter and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less Old Bay seasoning.
  • Feel free to add other seafood like crab or sausage for extra flavor.
  • Serve with melted butter and lemon wedges on the side.
