Description

A spicy and flavorful seafood dish featuring a rich Padang-style sauce that perfectly complements a variety of seafood.


Ingredients

  • 500g mixed seafood (shrimp, squid, mussels)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 2 red chilies, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallots, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chopped red chilies and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato paste, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Add the mixed seafood and cook until the seafood is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander and lime wedges.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute the seafood with your favorites or whatever is in season.
