Description

Scalloped sweet potatoes are a creamy and delicious side dish that combines sweet potatoes with a rich sauce.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sweet potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour half of the heavy cream over the layer.
  6. Add half of the cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes until the sweet potatoes are tender.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
