- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Arrange half of the sweet potatoes in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix the cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the sweet potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheeses over the cream.
- Layer the remaining sweet potatoes on top.
- Pour the remaining cream mixture over the second layer.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the sweet potatoes are tender and the top is golden.
Notes
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
- Try adding herbs like thyme for extra flavor.
