Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Arrange half of the sweet potatoes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the sweet potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheeses over the cream.
  7. Layer the remaining sweet potatoes on top.
  8. Pour the remaining cream mixture over the second layer.
  9. Top with the remaining cheese.
  10. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the sweet potatoes are tender and the top is golden.
