A delicious chicken dish cooked in a creamy Asiago and mushroom sauce.
Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup grated Asiago cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove chicken from pan and set aside.
- Add butter to the pan and sauté garlic and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Asiago cheese until melted.
- Return chicken to the pan and coat with sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh mushrooms for best results.
- Adjust salt to taste.
- Substitute Parmesan cheese if Asiago is unavailable.
