Description

A delicious chicken dish cooked in a creamy Asiago and mushroom sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup grated Asiago cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.
  5. Add butter to the pan and sauté garlic and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in Asiago cheese until melted.
  8. Return chicken to the pan and coat with sauce.
  9. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.

  • Use fresh mushrooms for best results.
  • Adjust salt to taste.
  • Substitute Parmesan cheese if Asiago is unavailable.
