- 1 lb ground sausage
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Mix until well combined. The mixture will be thick.
- Add the milk and mix until just combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the sausage balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, use hot sausage instead of regular.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just bake them straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
