- 1 whole chicken (3–4 lbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 onion, quartered
Instructions
- Preheat your rotisserie grill to 375°F.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Rub olive oil all over the chicken.
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and thyme in a bowl.
- Season the chicken inside and out with the spice mix.
- Stuff the chicken cavity with lemon halves, garlic, and onion.
- Secure the chicken on the rotisserie spit.
- Cook for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
