- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add shallot and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
- Pour in red wine and let it reduce by half.
- Stir in beef broth, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
- Serve warm over your favorite steak.
