Description
A refreshing and tangy raspberry lemonade that’s perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and raspberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved to create a simple syrup.
- Add the fresh raspberries to the simple syrup and mash them gently with a fork to release their juices. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Once cooled, strain the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds. You should have a smooth raspberry syrup.
- In a large pitcher, combine the raspberry syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 4 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or cold water as desired.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and whole raspberries if desired.
