Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup (240ml) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (120g) diced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cubed Velveeta cheese, diced tomatoes with green chilies, and milk.
  2. Stir frequently until the cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add the diced onion, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper (if using), and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, add additional diced jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • You can substitute Velveeta with shredded cheese, but it may not melt as smoothly.
