- 1 lb (450g) Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 cup (240ml) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (120g) diced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cubed Velveeta cheese, diced tomatoes with green chilies, and milk.
- Stir frequently until the cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the diced onion, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper (if using), and season with salt and pepper.
- Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, add additional diced jalapeños or hot sauce.
- You can substitute Velveeta with shredded cheese, but it may not melt as smoothly.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
