Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree and active sourdough starter.
- Add the all-purpose flour, salt, and spices to the mixture.
- Gradually add water until the dough reaches the right consistency.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth.
- Allow the dough to ferment for several hours or until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 30-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
