  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves until smooth.
  3. Pour mixture into the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the pumpkin layer.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix. Add pecans if using.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown and set.
  7. Let cool before serving.
