- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar and milk to create a smooth icing.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
Notes
- For an extra cozy flavor, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the filling.
- These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
