Ingredients

  • 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil. Stir until the dough begins to come together.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet and add your favorite toppings.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • For a more flavorful dough, let the dough rise in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before using.
  • You can freeze the dough for up to 3 months. Just thaw it in the refrigerator overnight before use.
