This easy homemade pizza dough recipe yields a chewy, crispy crust that’s perfect for any pizza. It requires just a few simple ingredients and can be made in under an hour.

- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3/4 cup (180ml) warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
- Add the warm water and olive oil. Stir until the dough begins to come together.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet and add your favorite toppings.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- For a more flavorful dough, let the dough rise in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before using.
- You can freeze the dough for up to 3 months. Just thaw it in the refrigerator overnight before use.
