Ingredients

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour in beef broth and ketchup. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns lightly.
  6. Divide the meat mixture among the buns.
  7. Top each with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  8. Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese melts.
  9. Serve immediately.
