- 1 cup (240g) creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture and stir until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out the dough and roll into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Flatten each ball slightly with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a softer cookie, bake for a shorter time.
- You can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts for extra flavor.
